Storage Unit Tips for Residents and Business Owners in Atlanta, Buford, Woodstock, Dunwoody, Braselton, and other Georgia Cities

Storage Unit Tips Atlanta GeorgiaDeciding to store some of your most valuable possessions can be difficult. From picking what you’re going to store, to choosing what materials will best protect your precious items, having storage unit tips to work with will help you properly pack and store your belongings to keep them safe and in good condition.

At Georgia Pack and Load Moving and Storage, Inc., we have been moving and storing items for families and business owners since 1995. In that time, we’ve devised a few storage unit tips for our customers to use when preparing to store their items for a period of time.

Our storage unit tips include:

  • Using a uniform size for all of your boxes, because this makes it easier for you to stack them. Also, place your heavier boxes toward the bottom, and the lighter boxes on top to prevent damage.

  • If you are using boxes, make sure that you fill them up completely, even if it means using padding. Placing any objects on top of partially empty boxes can lead to flattening, which could potentially damage your belongings.

  •  One of our most important storage unit tips is to always place your valuable items toward the back of your unit. Although we have 24-hour camera surveillance, you should still take precautions.

  • Don’t place anything flammable or combustible in your storage unit. Gasoline, paint thinner, oils, or cleaning fluids can be dangerous.

We understand how important it is for you to leave your belongings in a storage unit facility you trust will keep your possessions in the same condition you left them.
