Moves do not always line up neatly. Closings slip, renovations run long, and sometimes the new house is simply smaller than the old one. Georgia Pack and Load provides storage that is built into the move itself: our crew picks up your belongings, holds them in climate-controlled warehouse storage, and delivers them when you are ready. Family owned since 1995, we run this service for customers across Georgia from our locations in Suwanee, Waycross, and Valdosta.
Short-Term and Long-Term Options
A week between closings and a year overseas are both fine. Storage bills monthly, with no penalty for taking your things out early and no pressure to commit to a term up front. If your dates move, the plan moves with them. That flexibility is the point: storage exists to absorb the schedule problems the rest of your move cannot.
How Storage Works With a Move
This is the part self-storage cannot match. On pickup day, our crew loads everything once. Items headed for the new house go there; items headed for storage go into inventoried, padded storage without you renting a truck or lifting a box. When you call for delivery, the same company brings your things to your door. One estimate, one point of contact, and your furniture is handled by movers, not squeezed into a drive-up unit by whoever you could recruit that weekend. Storage pairs naturally with our moving service, and packed boxes from our packing crews go straight into storage without rehandling.

Protection While in Storage
Items are padded, wrapped, and inventoried before they enter the warehouse, and they stay wrapped for the duration. Climate control protects the things Georgia weather punishes most: solid wood, leather, electronics, artwork, and anything with glue joints or veneer. Because the warehouse is ours and the crews are our 25 full-time employees, the chain of custody never leaves the company.

How is your storage different from a self-storage unit?
With self-storage, you rent a truck, load it, drive it, and unload it into a unit yourself, twice. With us, the same crew that picks up your belongings places them into storage and later delivers them to your new address. You never touch a truck or a dolly.
Is the storage climate controlled?
Yes. Georgia heat and humidity are hard on wood furniture, electronics, photographs, and upholstery. Climate-controlled warehouse storage protects against the temperature swings and moisture that cause warping, mildew, and finish damage in ordinary outdoor units.
Is there a minimum storage term?
No long commitment is required. Storage is billed monthly, and plenty of customers use it for only a week or two between a closing date and a move-in date. Others store for a year or more. You can extend or end the term as your plans change.
Can I get things out of storage before my final delivery?
Yes, with a little notice. Your items are inventoried when they go into storage, so we can locate specific pieces if you need something back early. Let us know what you are looking for and we will arrange access or pull it for delivery.
How is my furniture protected while it is in storage?
Everything is padded and wrapped before it leaves your home and stays wrapped in storage. Items are inventoried as they go in, so what comes out is checked against what went in.
Can I get to my belongings while they are stored?
Access is arranged by appointment rather than walk-in, because your goods are stored as a single inventoried lot rather than in a self-storage unit you hold a key to. Call ahead and we will pull what you need.
How is storage billed?
Storage is billed monthly at a rate quoted before your goods go in, based on how much space the shipment actually takes. There is no separate handling charge to bring it back out when we deliver it, because the redelivery is part of your moving plan.
