Unpacking Service for Atlanta & All of Georgia
The move is not over while the garage is full of cardboard. Our crews empty every box, place things where you want them, and leave with the packing debris, so you are settled in days instead of months.

Every move has two halves, and the second one gets skipped. Families budget weeks for packing and then live out of boxes for months at the new address. Georgia Pack and Load has offered professional unpacking across Georgia since 1995 for exactly that reason: the move is not finished until the boxes are gone and the house works.
From Boxes to a Working Home
An unpacking crew works room by room: boxes opened, wrapping stripped, items placed where you tell us: dishes in cabinets, books on shelves, closets hung. You point; we put away. The pace is the difference. What takes a household a month of evenings takes a crew a day or two, because it is all we are there to do.
What Unpacking Includes
- Every box opened and emptied, wrapping stripped from each item
- Placement on shelves, in cabinets, and in closets at your direction
- Kitchen setup first, so the house works from the first night
- Beds, tables, and shelving reassembled if they arrived apart
- All cardboard and packing paper hauled away, recycled where possible
- Damage documented as we unpack, whoever packed the box
How Unpacking Works
- Tell us which rooms matter most and when you want them done
- The crew arrives after your delivery, whoever moved you
- Rooms are unpacked in your priority order, kitchen typically first
- You direct placement; we handle the lifting and put-away
- The crew leaves with the debris, not just the empties stacked neater

Pair It With the Move
Unpacking slots into a full-service move as the final step: the same company that packed and hauled your home sets it back up, with no finger-pointing possible between the crew that wrapped a dish and the crew that shelved it. Add packing on the front end and your involvement in the whole move can be limited to decisions.

Unpacking Services: quick answers
What does an unpacking crew actually do?
We open every box, strip the wrapping off each item, and place things on shelves, in cabinets, and in closets where you direct. Then the flattened boxes and packing paper leave with us. You make the decisions; we do the lifting and the hauling.
Can you unpack just the kitchen?
Kitchen-only unpacks are our most requested version, it is the room a household needs working the first night, and the slowest one to do yourself. Tell us which rooms matter most and we will quote exactly that.
Do you take the empty boxes and paper away?
Yes, and it matters more than people expect. A four-bedroom move generates a garage full of cardboard and paper. It leaves with the crew, flattened and recycled where facilities allow, instead of waiting on your curb for weeks.
Do you have to have moved us to unpack us?
No. Plenty of customers arrive behind a rental truck or a van line and hire us just to unpack. If another company's packing arrives damaged, we document it as we go so you have a record for their claims process.
How long does unpacking take?
A typical home unpacks in one to two days, dramatically faster than the weeks it takes a family working evenings. Crew size scales to the job, and we will give you the estimate before we start.
